Vienna-based Iranian Oud player, Vocalist & improviser, Avin Ahmadi, born in 2004, trained at Tehran’s music conservatory and is now pursuing Jazz Improvisation at Anton Bruckner University.
With a strong foundation in Persian music, Avin’s performances blend diverse influences, including jazz and Middle Eastern styles, rhythms, and languages.
She expresses her deepest emotions, thoughts, and experiences through her creative process; inviting listeners on a profound and transformative journey through the power of her music.
The solo project Qayeq by Iranian artist Avin Ahmadi (oud, voice) invites audiences on a musical journey where original compositions intertwine with reinterpretations of traditional Persian songs. Each piece becomes a universe of emotion and poetry, carrying listeners like a raft (qayeq) floating on a calm river, among waves of sound and feeling.
At MINA Museum, the first immersive art space in Romania, the concert transforms into a multisensory experience: sound, light, and architecture merge into one universe, amplifying the depth and intimacy of Avin Ahmadi’s music.
